Agreement to Terms

By downloading or using Noor, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Noor on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the app only for lawful and intended purposes. You must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it to harass others.

Prayer Times and Religious Content

Prayer times, the Qibla direction and Ramadan times are calculated from your location and the calculation method you choose, and may differ from your local mosque. They are provided for convenience; please verify them with a trusted local source. Quran text, translations and educational content are provided for personal study.

Quran and Content Sources

Noor shows content created by others. It remains the work of its authors and is used under their licences or with their permission:

• Quran text (Uthmani): Tanzil Project, tanzil.net, under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 licence. The text is used verbatim.
• Translations and Al-Mukhtasar tafsir: QuranEnc.com, the Encyclopedia of the Translations of the Meanings of the Holy Quran, including Saheeh International by Noor International Center (English), Rowwad Translation Center (Russian, Turkish, Tajik), Muhammad Junagarhi (Urdu), the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Indonesian), Khalifa Altai (Kazakh) and Shamsuddin Hakimov (Kyrgyz). They are used unaltered, in the latest versions published on QuranEnc.com.
• Other translations: Elmir Kuliev (Russian), Shaykh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf (Uzbek) and Dr. Mustafa Khattab, The Clear Quran (English).
• Tafsir: Ibn Kathir, Maarif-ul-Quran and Tazkirul Quran.
• Recitations: Mishary Rashid Alafasy, Abu Bakr Al-Shatri, Nasser Al-Qatami, Yasser Al-Dosari and Hani Ar-Rifai. Transliteration, tajweed and spoken translations: Islamic Network (alquran.cloud).

Subscriptions and Free Trials

Noor is free to use, with an optional Noor Premium auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly). Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by region.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the app or your Noor account does not cancel it.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

Apple Devices

If you downloaded Noor from the App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. If these Terms conflict with it, the Apple agreement applies to the extent of the conflict. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it.

Your Content

You own what you record in Noor and are responsible for anything you submit, such as your profile photo and support messages. You confirm that it does not violate any laws, rights or the privacy of others.

Account Deletion and Termination

You can stop using Noor and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we detect misuse, violations of these Terms, or activity that threatens the safety or operation of the service.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Noor is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
